Quidditch Australia’s State Shield
We are proud to present Quidditch Australia’s inaugural State Shield weekend, featuring the Victorian Leadbeaters, the New South Wales Blue Tongues, the Queensland Thunderbirds, and South Australia.
Last year, the Victorian Leadbeaters defeated the NSW Blue Tongues in 5 out of their 9 games to win the 2016 State of Origin series. This year we welcome Queensland and South Australia to the series!
Saturday the 14th of October will feature a round robin series between the four teams. On Sunday the 15th, the top two teams will play a three games series to decide the 2017 Quidditch State Shield champion. The bottom two teams will also play a three game series to win the bronze medal!
Tickets for the weekend will be available online for $5 and at the door for $10. The venue has an on-site cafe and licensed bar that will be open for the duration of the event.
Details about tryouts should be directed to individual state associations. There will be a social on the Sunday evening after the tournament.
