WHAT IS QUIDCAMP?
Commonly known as QuidCamp, the National Development Conference is an annual event where knowledge and strategy are shared, referees are tested and friendships renewed. QuidCamp consists of practical workshops run by our most experienced players, a one-day “fantasy” tournament to apply and practice new-found knowledge, a social function, sleepover and the usual “quid kid” bonding.
Quidditch Camp has become the kickoff event to start the Australian Quidditch season. It brings together new and experienced players to share skills and engage in the various social festivities.
WHERE IS QUIDCAMP?
QuidCamp 2015 will be held at University of Wollongong’s University Recreation and Aquatic Centre (URAC). This venue includes Oval 2, which has previously been used for NSW Triwizard Tournaments. There will be access to URAC’s main building, which contains locker rooms with showers and toilets, as well as some food options. All fields also have lighting for any evening activities.
This will mark the Wollongong Warriors’ second successful QuidCamp bid in a row, who will host the event in conjunction with the Australian Quidditch Association.
