Aug 28, 2005 · As a first year teacher in 1963 I had a headmaster who held the VC and had been a squadron leader flying Mosquitos. His name was Lowther. He apparently had flown in support of the dam busters raid one way or another. This evening (8/11/2011) I was surprised to see no mention of Mosquitos in the documentary about this raid on the BBC.
