The Easton Shield is a fourteen week round-robin tournament featuring 7 Melbourne-based quidditch teams. This Victorian Quidditch Association (VQA) event kicked off Saturday August 9th, with matches held almost every weekend through to its conclusion on Sunday November 23rd. This one-off tournament is in honour of Nic Easton, who lost his battle with Leukemia on January 1st.

The 7 Melbourne based teams competing for the title are Melbourne Manticores, Melbourne Unicorns, South Melbourne Centaurs, Monash Muggles, Blackburn Basilisks, Northern Direwolves and Wrackspurts QC. Each of the 14 rounds feature a double header of quidditch matches.
