UNSW Quidditch Society
The UNSW Snapes on a Plane have been playing quidditch since early 2011 and played host to the first ever national tournament.
The team pride themselves on having the coolest team name, the rockingest shirts, a mix of people in it for the sport and people in it for the magic, and generally being pretty kick-ass.
UNSW Quidditch is always happy to help out new or starting teams in any way possible; from starting new tournaments to organising and playing in demonstration games or answering any questions, just let them know what they can do for you!
The team are hoping to get a cheerleading crowd going for 2013, and in the meantime are hoping their spectators will play the part for them! They’re always happy to see new faces and find a place for new members in the society.
Training sessions are at the UNSW Physics Lawn on Tuesdays from 12-2pm and Fridays from 4-6pm. These are a mix of quidditch drills, shooting practice and (occasional) fitness (but if you’d just like someone to chat to there’s usually someone hanging around as well!), and all are welcome.
